Danish Collection in Kent
The tale behind Danish Collection started when Judith Jørgensen moved to the UK in 1999 and she fell in love with England from day one. Despite having a wail of a time getting to know a new country, making new friends and starting a family with her husband Leo, Judith missed the Danish “HYGGE”; the Danish word for a cosy ambience in your home. Back in 2000, “HYGGE” was a fairly unknown word outside of Denmark but these days it is known all over the world and there are books written about it. “HYGGE” is partly created by lit candles, snug throws, decorative cushions and it is surrounded by the serenity of neutral shades. This was the inspiration behind the creation of Danish Collection in the early 2000’s and we continue to bring "HYGGE" and home styling design to the UK.
A unique lifestyle store
Since its launch, Danish Collection has grown from its initial small premises to a prime corner position in the high street of Sevenoaks in beautiful Kent. Today we pride ourselves on having a unique lifestyle store, offering the very best in clothing & jewellery, home accessories, furniture and lighting. It lies in our DNA to offer the very best service and needless to say that we offer a complimentary free gift wrapping service.
